I didn’t have the opportunity to meet Garrett until his wedding day – actually, it was AFTER the ceremony when I got to speak with him for the first time. It’s always interesting for me to see how a couple interacts when I see them together first time, and I was so pleased. Garrett is head over heels in love with his Amy. The way he looked at her, put his arm around her, everything. It certainly made my job very easy.

They were surrounded by friends & family for their big day. Many crazy friends (hello, groomsmen!) but also many sentimental family moments that made me realize how important family really is. Thank you guys for allowing us to capture your wedding. We had a blast!

Garrett and his father Rick, who was his best man.

Garrett and his sweet grandmother, who had just suffered a stroke. But she made it to the wedding and even stayed for the reception!

MARRIED!

We love sit-down dinners at weddings. Because it gives us time to get these.

Now, I already got some flack for commenting about the stripper groomsmen. Come on, people. Put those stones away and unclench: they didn’t really strip. Even if they did, I most certainly would not have taken any pictures. And even if I did, I most certainly would not post them here (what would my child think of me?!?!). All they did was take off their dress shirts to reveal custom t-shirts underneath that they had made for the special occasion.

And the dancing began. And the dollar bills flew. It was awesome.

TCU Horned Frogs, baby!

A great shot that Aaron took of wedding coordinator extraordinaire Kristyn Hall and her dad.

Her friend said it best: “When you meet Sarah for the first time, you feel like you’re meeting royalty.” It’s been 7 weeks since their wedding, and I still can’t get that phrase out of my head. Because it’s so true.

Sarah & I met in college. Besides being strikingly beautiful and exotic, she was the first person I ever knew to shop at Anthropologie and Charlotte Russe. You know, WAY before they became super popular. She always had this other worldly quality to her, and that’s because she’s always known she was meant for another world. I liken it to the feeling after the Pevensie kids returned to London from Narnia, knowing that they are royalty in another world but that for the time being, they are to live in this one. But while you feel like you’re meeting royalty, her down-to-earthness and sense of humor were what won me over.

After college, we lost touch, and she somehow found my blog when she knew she would marry JJ. We caught up over email, and let me tell you, their love story is epic. Completely written by the hand of God. And I knew that their wedding day would be incredibly special.

JJ & Sarah, I can’t thank you enough for allowing me to be a part of your big day. You guys are amazing.

Prayer before heading out to the ceremony. There was something so beautifully ancient and traditional about this moment.

I have been DYING for a long veil to play around with!

This picture cracks me up. She loves her cake – he can’t stop staring at his.

Alright, you saw their First Look. Here’s their wedding! Rick & Helen, you guys are the best. Thank you for the honor of capturing your big day. :) And I can’t forget to thank the amazing Lindsey Joy, who graciously agreed to second shoot with me. Her poor husband was home watching the World Cup all by his lonesome. Thank you for letting me borrow your wife!

Beautiful custom-made headpiece. All the bridesmaids got one as well.

Love how there’s a plane flying overhead. Y’know. ‘Cuz Rick is a pilot.

A sweet moment after their first kiss as husband and wife.

Married!

Absolutely love this one!
