Every summer, the Women’s Department at church throws an event called Laugh! ‘Cuz laughter is good for the soul, no? This year, the theme was summer fun and vacation! And because my fabulous friend and former client Elisa was in charge, there were details galore for me to drool over.

Each picture will have a file name associated with it for identification purposes. Please send me an email at natashabrownphotography@gmail.com to request a copy of your picture. PLEASE DO NOT RIGHT-CLICK AND SAVE THE PICTURE TO YOUR COMPUTER. I worked hard on these, and doing so will only get you a low-quality picture. At least let me do you the courtesy of emailing you the high-quality version!

You may notice that I did not crop any of the pictures. I did that on purpose. I know that 99% of these will end up on Facebook, where cropping is an option, so I wanted to give you more to work with. Crop away!

As always, the Women’s Department paid for all of your pictures so that they would be at no cost to you. Give them a big hug the next time you see them.

I know that most of you may be inclined to be harsh towards the way you look in your picture. Don’t be. These are meant to remind you of a great night with lots of friends and laughter. This world already has enough hardships as it is – let’s go easy on ourselves and remind each other that there is nothing more beautiful than laughter.

1. We both have ridiculously difficult-to-pronounce ethnic “middle” names. The curse of being an Asian-American.

2. We both love to shop online.

3. We both have little knowledge on our own cultural heritage. If you send me to a British school all my life and then move me to Texas at 13, then why are you surprised that I don’t know much Chinese?

4. If we both wore the right clothes, people would probably mistake us for Jess Bhamra from Bend It Like Beckham and Jen from Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.

5. We both like anything that is awesome, hot dogs and snow cones.

6. We both like to talk in fake accents when bored. She likes to mimick Bridget Jones, I prefer William Wallace.

7. We are both terrible at ping-pong.

8. We both love tabloid magazines. Though I try to buy them sparingly. Very sparingly.

9. We both love to have long-winded one-sided conversations. My bestie is often the victim of this.

They were surrounded by friends & family for their big day. Many crazy friends (hello, groomsmen!) but also many sentimental family moments that made me realize how important family really is. Thank you guys for allowing us to capture your wedding. We had a blast!

We love sit-down dinners at weddings. Because it gives us time to get these.

Now, I already got some flack for commenting about the stripper groomsmen. Come on, people. Put those stones away and unclench: they didn’t really strip. Even if they did, I most certainly would not have taken any pictures. And even if I did, I most certainly would not post them here (what would my child think of me?!?!). All they did was take off their dress shirts to reveal custom t-shirts underneath that they had made for the special occasion.

And the dancing began. And the dollar bills flew. It was awesome.
